What we collect, and what we do with it.

Short, because the site collects little. It applies to l3-capital.com and to the forms on it.

  What we collect.

  What you send us. When you use a form on this site you choose to give us your name, firm, email, city, and what you tell us about a building, a company or a question. We collect nothing you do not type.

  What the site records on its own. Our hosting provider records the technical data any web server records — IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request — for security and to keep the site running. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party advertising.

  Why we use it.

  To reply to you, to assess an opportunity or a request you have sent, to keep a record of our correspondence, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for.

  Who sees it.

  People at the firm and its operating companies (L3CG Advisors, FM Alliance, YC Real Estate) who need it to answer you; the service providers that host the site and deliver its email; and, where you ask for an introduction, the counsel, lender or other party you ask us to introduce. Each provider handles data under its own contract with us. We disclose information where the law requires it.

  Where it is kept.

  The site and its email are hosted in the United States. If you write to us from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed here, where privacy law may differ from your own. By sending it you consent to that transfer.

  How long.

  Correspondence is kept for as long as the matter it concerns is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted or archived. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short rolling period.

  Your choices.

  You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@l3-capital.com. We answer within thirty days. If you are in a jurisdiction that gives you further rights — including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore or Korea — we honour them on request.

  Security.

  Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and held with providers that maintain their own security programs. No method is perfect; if we learn of a breach affecting your information we will tell you as the law requires, including under the New York SHIELD Act.

  Children.

  This site is for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.

  Changes.

  We will post any change to this policy here with a new date. Continued use of the site after a change is acceptance of it.
